Suffolk Mind Skydive 2023
30 Sep 2023
Take part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience with the Suffolk Mind Skydive 2023!
You fall from the sky.
At 12 seconds you hit maximum speed, the air passes you by at 120mph.
After 30 seconds you’ve obtained the memory of a lifetime.
What’s more, you’ve helped to raise vital funds for Suffolk Mind.
In 2022, our Skydivers raised over £26,000. You can help us to match (or even beat) this target in 2023!
On the day
You will arrive at Beccles Airfield in your dedicated time slot (8.30am, 10.30am, 12.30pm or 2.30pm) and the skydive experts will explain in detail:
- what you have to do
- what will take place during the flight up
- the free fall descent
- the ride down under the parachute.
This briefing normally takes around 20 minutes.
After fitting the harness, headgear and goggles (provided by UK Parachuting), you then board the plane ready for the 15 minute ascent!
You will soar to around 13,000 feet and when you and your instructor leave the plane, you will fall at about 120mph, descending to 5,000 feet in around 40 seconds. At this point, your instructor will open the parachute and fly you safely back to earth! During the six minutes or so under the parachute, you will enjoy breath-taking and unique views of the local area and beyond.
