What is Suffolk Work Better?

Skilled support for the people in your organisation

People are at the heart of every successful organisation. When employees experience stress, anxiety, low confidence, poor mental wellbeing, or difficulties at work or at home, it can affect attendance, performance, engagement and retention.

Presenteeism—being at work but not able to work at one’s best—can be just as costly and is often overlooked.

Suffolk Work Better provides practical, confidential and ongoing support to help your people feel well, remain in work and thrive.

What does Suffolk Work Better provide?

People are at the heart of every successful organisation. When employees experience stress, anxiety, low confidence, poor mental wellbeing, or difficulties at work or at home, it can affect attendance, performance, engagement and retention.

Presenteeism—being at work but not able to work at one’s best—can be just as costly and is often overlooked.

Suffolk Work Better provides practical, confidential and ongoing support to help your people feel well, remain in work and thrive.

The aim is simple: to help people feel supported, stay well, and stay in work.

To help people feel supported, stay well and remain in work—while helping employers manage the costs and disruption associated with absence, reduced productivity and pressure on colleagues.

What support do we get, and what is the cost?

The right work, in the right environment, can play an important part in supporting a person’s mental wellbeing.

Suffolk Work Better is available as:

  • A six-month trial for £4,000
  • A full year of support for £7,800 (£650 per month)

Give your employees access to experienced, confidential support when they need it most.

How does that compare to the costs of someone off work?

Basic employer costs are estimated a minimum of £150pw per person absent. That’s without factoring in the cost of cover, drop in productivity, missed opportunities, knock on pressure onto team members etc.

Official Office for National Statistics figures show an average of 4.4 days lost per worker per year, though employer-focused surveys like the CIPD report higher averages up to 9.4 days.

“The cost of absence soon adds up”.
