Our first charity ball, Gala on the Farm, raises more than £27,000

We’re thrilled to share the huge success of Gala on the Farm, our first charity ball, which has raised £27,472.50! These vital funds will go towards our range of mental health services, supporting thousands of people across our county.

On Saturday 15 July, we welcomed 160+ guests into a ‘rustic wonderland’ – a beautiful tipi at Jimmy’s Farm near Ipswich – for an evening of food, fun, and phenomenal fundraising.

Jon Neal, our CEO, said: “We are extremely pleased with the success of our first ever Gala on the Farm.

“The support we have received has been fantastic. It shows our goal of making Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health is shared by many.

“As a charity, funding makes a huge difference to our ability to deliver services – so we are extremely grateful to everyone who helped us raise such an incredible amount of money.”

Our Gala on the Farm saw people enjoy a two-course meal, complimentary drinks and a range of entertainment – as well as a charitable auction and raffle. Items up for grabs included a 1978 replica Ipswich Town FC shirt signed by goal-scorer Roger Osborne, a holiday in Bulgaria, and many other treats and experiences courtesy of local businesses.

The event was headline sponsored by Treatt, a Suffolk-based global natural extracts and ingredients manufacturer.

Treatt’s CEO, Daemmon Reeve, said: “The chance to sponsor Gala on the Farm was a natural decision for us and we’d like to thank Suffolk Mind for organising such an enjoyable and important event.”

Our heartfelt thanks go to Jimmy’s Farm for having us, headline sponsor Treatt, supporting sponsors GLO, StrategiQ and Mad-HR – and all of the generous local and independent organisations who made this event possible.

We’re also humbled by the lovely feedback we’ve received from our guests, including:

Thank you so much for the truly magical evening on Saturday. I can’t tell you how much fun we all had… You pulled out all the stops.

Congratulations to you and the team. A wonderful, brilliantly executed event.

Thank you so much for organising an amazing event... everyone had a wonderful time.

The event has been so successful, that we’re already planning our Gala for 2024!
