This role includes supporting the Research Team in public engagement with Suffolk Mind’s research – by promoting research findings and supporting data collection. You will be putting up posters locally which encourage research participation and attend Suffolk Mind events with a ‘research hat’ on to talk about our research findings and how people can get involved and take part. Support Group Assistant
This role involves helping to support staff who run health and wellbeing groups by listening, talking and interacting with participants. The groups aim to offer a safe space for anyone interested in improving their mental health and wellbeing with discussions and activities aimed to help participants understand and meet their emotional and physical needs. Night Owls Telephone Support
In this volunteer role you will listen, emotionally support, advise and assist service users who ring the helpline in crisis for support. Ensure safe and quality service provision. The volunteer for this role has the ability to communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person, sometimes over sensitive and/or complex issues. The role is available in Felixstowe from Thursday to Sunday from 7:30pm with a minimum commitment of three hours. Travel expenses eligible for reimbursement. Click here for more details.
Greencare Allotment Volunteer
Suffolk Mind is looking for several allotment volunteers to help at our various plots throughout Suffolk. Allotment Volunteers attend regular weekly sessions to help tend and organise a successful allotment project helping people to improve and maintain their physical and mental wellbeing.
