Fundraising challenge – do your feet dare?

**Registrations and guest ticket bookings for this event are now closed – please contact our Fundraising team for more details. We look forward to seeing all our brave Walkers and their guests on 1st April!**

We’ve ‘throne’ down a challenge to your mind and body with our Walk of Ice and Fire this April. A Walk of Ice and Fire may feel a little familiar to fans of A Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon. If you’re not a fan, apologies for the bad puns coming up…

This event may be on Saturday 1st April but it’s no joke! Choose to walk across broken glass (Ice) or hot coals (Fire) to raise vital funds for Suffolk Mind. For those chasing that extra adrenaline hit, you’re able to do both the Ice and Fire walks on the same night. Join us for a spectacular night of live entertainment, music and Ice-and-Fire themed food (fiery hot dogs and ice cream).

Sounds great – tell me more

When you play the game of thrones you play to win…Are you up for the challenge? Our evening of Ice and Fire will be hosted at the Coddenham Centre, near Ipswich on Saturday 1st April.

Join your fellow “brave soles” around 6pm for registration. There will be food and fiery entertainment for you and your supporters to enjoy (sadly no live dragons).

Timings aren’t firmed up yet but the Ice Walkers will go first while the flames heat up for the Firewalk, which will be the finale to a spectacular evening – with no unexpected major character deaths, hopefully.

How do I sign up?

**Registration for this event is now closed. Please contact our Fundraising team for more details.**

You can sign up by creating a Giving Page on our Suffolk Mind website. It’s quick and simple, and by using our website we don’t lose admin fees to the Master of Coin at other Giving platforms.

Participants must be aged 11+, with anyone under the age of 18 to be accompanied by an adult.

To enter, please pay your registration fee for one-walk or two-walk entry fee as follows:

Fundraiser – one walk (glass or fire) £35
Fundraiser – both walks £42.50

Your entry fee covers the cost of the walk(s) and your food. Worried your friends might get FOMO (fear of missing out)? Don’t worry, if they decide on the night to do both walks, we will be able to take card, cash or online payment.

How much do I need to raise?

By choosing to be an Ice(glass) or Fire Walker (hopefully no White Walkers) you’re supporting Suffolk Mind to provide mental health services to local people. Thank you! These walks aren’t for the faint hearted and therefore, we suggest a minimum sponsorship target of £100.

Your target excludes your entry fee and excludes any adult or child guest tickets you purchase.

Of course, if you want to set your target higher and aim for (Lannister) gold, please do.

Can I bring guests?

**Guest ticket bookings are now closed. Please contact our Fundraising team for more details.**

You’re very welcome to bring along support. Guests help make the atmosphere come to life on the night. Each Walker is invited to bring one adult guest, plus additional tickets available for up to two children under 16. Each guest ticket covers one hot dog and one ice cream on the night.

Adult guest: £10 per ticket

Child guest (under 16): £6 per ticket

Please let us know which Walker the guest ticket is supporting, and any dietary requirements, at checkout. If you require more tickets, please email the team to be added to our waiting list. We cannot guarantee extra tickets will be available but will do our best to help.

Is it safe?

Although they’re exhilarating and exciting, the walks are safe. They are run by UK Firewalk who have years of experience and have run hundreds of safe walks up and down the country (from Winterfell to King’s Landing).

Each walker is trained on the night to ensure you have the best experience. Photos will be taken by Suffolk Mind and UK Firewalk for use on social media and future advertising. If you do not wish to be pictured, please let us know at or before the event.
