Our Housing team wins prestigious care award
Suffolk Mind is celebrating after being recognised at the Suffolk Care Awards for the outstanding care we provide.
We received the Health and Wellbeing Award in recognition of the work we do at our residential care home, Montrose House, in Ipswich.
Montrose House provides 24-hour support to residents with long-term mental health needs and is rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.
Jon Neal, CEO of Suffolk Mind, said: “Ensuring the care and support Suffolk Mind provides is of the highest quality is always a priority for us. So, to be recognised with the Suffolk Care Award is something we take great pride in.
“Montrose House embraces the needs of each individual to provide a person-centred approach to their care. We work with mental health teams, GPs and other health professionals to ensure their physical and emotional needs are always met.
“Events like this truly showcase the high level of care we have available across the county, and we are extremely proud to be among them.”
This marks the second award Montrose House has received at the Suffolk Care Awards, having been named Care Service of the Year in 2017.
This year, the awards ceremony – organised by Care Development East, took place at Milsoms in Kesgrave on 21 September , with the team (including Gary and Jenna, pictured above) present to collect the award
Jon added: “Thank you to the Suffolk Care Awards for this recognition and congratulations to the other winners and finalists.”
