A Walk of Glass and Fire

Dozens of brave soles are set to take on a daring gauntlet of hot coals, broken glass and Lego bricks later this month. Ahead of our hotly-anticipated A Walk of Glass and Fire fundraiser, we spoke to Paul McManus, Financial Director at A&B Glass, about why they’ve chosen to support Suffolk Mind.

Founded in 1981, the Suffolk-based business supports housebuilders, businesses and homeowners with their windows, doors and conservatory needs.

The team are fully behind our mission of making Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health, with five of its team members trained in mental health awareness.

Paul says: “Suffolk Mind helps people across our county with support and services for mental health needs – support that any of us may need at some point in our lives.

“We actively support local charities and organisations and, with many of us having experienced mental ill-health or know someone who is struggling, it’s good to know that support is there from charities like Suffolk Mind.”

Paul is also one of the fearless fundraisers taking on the challenge, along with other members of the A&B Glass team.

“With a name like A&B Glass, we really couldn’t pass up the opportunity for some of our people to walk the walk!”

“It’s an opportunity to do something completely different and raise money for a crucial local charity at the same time.”

We’re now gearing up to meet our fundraisers on Sunday, May 19 – including a group of courageous children taking on our new 20,000 brick Lego challenge for the very first time.
