New charity partnership with local football club announced
Suffolk Mind is thrilled to be partnering with AFC Kesgrave for 2025.
The local grassroots club are currently raising money for a new adult away kit, which will include the Suffolk Mind logo. In addition, they will be holding a quiz night in March to raise funds and further events will be added during the year.
In return, Suffolk Mind will be providing a mental health workshop for families of the club in February
Suffolk Mind’s CEO Jon Neal said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with AFC Kesgrave on a number of brilliant initiatives throughout 2025.
“As a volunteer of a Kesgrave grassroots football club myself, it’s wonderful that AFC Kesgrave has chosen to help us make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health in 2025.
“This is just the start of what we hope will be a fruitful partnership for both organisations.”
AFC Kesgrave was first formed in 2007, as a single U10’s youth side
The aim was to create an inclusive football club, with a positive and safe environment. Over the years, the club introduced adult and veteran teams, and have been very successful in county competitions.
Dave Collins, Chairman of AFC Kesgrave, said: “When deciding on who to support for our charity of the year for 2025, Suffolk Mind was one that came up time and time again.
“The work they do for the mental health of our county is unparalleled, and it’s a pleasure to be supporting them this year.
“As well as raising money for our away day kit, we will also be showcasing the Suffolk Mind logo on our first team rain jackets.
“We’re excited to be partnering with Suffolk Mind and our volunteers can’t wait to get involved, watch this space!”
