Luke Read

Ambassador

Luke Read is a former Parachute Regiment soldier who served eight years in the Airborne Forces, where resilience, discipline and looking after the person next to you were part of everyday life. Those experiences shaped his belief that mental strength and strong communities are essential to overcoming life’s challenges.

After leaving the military, Luke built a career in health and fitness and now runs his own gym, helping people develop confidence, resilience and a stronger mindset through movement and shared challenge.

An ultra-endurance athlete, Luke regularly pushes his own limits to better understand the connection between physical hardship and mental strength. He believes that when people are supported, challenged and connected, they discover they are capable of far more than they think.

As an ambassador for Suffolk Mind, Luke is passionate about encouraging open conversations around mental health and helping people realise that looking after their mind is just as important as looking after their body.
