I’m taking on 40km for my 40th birthday, the World Mental Health Day, a milestone I want to celebrate and use to acknowledge the importance of the services and care I, and many others have received during difficult times.
The 40km challenge is one I have set for myself, as a way to mark just how important fresh air, moving and headspace have been in rebuilding my confidence – and what better way to mark turning 40 than to use it to raise money for an incredible cause so close to my heart.
It’s a system under extreme pressure and these vital services need all the help they can get.
And hopefully, if you’re feeling the strain, hopefully this will signpost people to either get support, get moving, or both.
