Suffolk Mind offers a range of opportunities to join us as a counsellor, either as a volunteer, or on a placement.
About the service
We operate a self-referral, easy-to-access counselling service. Our service is for any Suffolk resident aged 18+. Clients come to our counselling service for a variety of reasons, but these could be relationships, family issues, personal crisis, bereavement, or other problems they may be dealing with. We offer counselling in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Saxmundham, online via Zoom and by telephone.

If you would like to become a counsellor with Suffolk Mind, either on placement or as a volunteer, below is a summary of the main tasks and requirements.
What we expect:
Suffolk Mind’s Counselling service have the below counsellor roles available, which can be either on placement or voluntary (qualified).
If you are interested, please complete our application form and submit it to counselling@suffolkmind.org.uk for the attention of Lee Harger, the Counselling Manager. Please ensure that you have specified the position in which you are interested on your application form.
