The dark reality of the number of our friends and family members suffering with mental health is stark, and painful. We all know it – we’ve all been affected ourselves or know someone who has. Perhaps, like me, you’ve even lost someone to it. That’s why it’s so important to raise awareness and create as many opportunities as possible to support those in need. I find running really helps to elevate me on the tougher days, and I really believe in the positive impact fitness can have on your mental wellbeing. This will be my first half marathon so I’m hoping to make the most of the opportunity to raise some money for Suffolk Mind, and help them help others when they need it most.
