Two people on bicycles in front of Southwold Pier with sunshine and clouds behind them

Our bespoke team cycling event

86 miles. Three counties. Six rivers. Seven Piers.

The Seven Piers Challenge, in partnership with OnVenture, is the perfect team-building event.

Enjoy a bespoke and fully supported cycling challenge together, while also raising vital funds for Suffolk Mind (charity no. 1003061).

The challenge

Setting off from the Britannia Pier in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, we will cross the border into Suffolk and follow the coast down to Lowestoft’s Claremont Pier.

After a little jaunt inland, we will enjoy the quiet country lanes as we head for Southwold Pier.

Following a break by the beach there, it’s back in the saddle for the longest stretch of the day. We’ll cruise through picturesque villages in the Suffolk Coasts & Heaths AONB, before pitching up for a well-deserved lunch break courtesy of our support crew.

After lunch, we’ll had for our first river crossing of the day – the foot ferry from Bawdsey to Felixstowe, then onward to Felixstowe Pier.

We’ll then roll down to the next river crossing at Landguard Point – taking the ferry into Essex. On arrival at Harwich, there’s a short hop to the Ha’penny Pier.

Our final leg will follow Essex roads along the coast via Walton Pier, then to the finish line at Clacton Pier.
