Suffolk Mind offers a range of opportunities to join us as a counsellor, either as a volunteer, or on a placement.

About the service

We operate a self-referral, easy-to-access counselling service. Our service is for any Suffolk resident aged 18+. Clients come to our counselling service for a variety of reasons, but these could be relationships, family issues, personal crisis, bereavement, or other problems they may be dealing with. We offer counselling in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Saxmundham, online via Zoom and by telephone.

 

Suffolk Mind’s Counselling service have the below counsellor roles available, which can be either on placement or voluntary (qualified).

 

If you are interested, please complete our application form and submit it to counselling@suffolkmind.org.uk for the attention of Lee Harger, the Counselling Manager. Please ensure that you have specified the position in which you are interested on your application form.

Seeing three clients

 Online group supervision

Ipswich

Mondays at 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 6:30pm

Third Tuesday of the month, 8:30am to 10:30am

Ipswich

Wednesdays at 4:30pm, 5:30pm and 6:30pm

Second Monday of the month, 4pm to 6pm

Ipswich

Mondays at 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am

Third Monday of the month, 4pm to 6pm

Ipswich

Wednesdays at 9am, 10am and 11am

Third Monday of the month, 4pm to 6pm

Bury St Edmunds

Mondays 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm

First Tuesday of the month, 8.30am to 10.30am
