The introduction to the Emotional Needs and Resources approach works on the principle that we all have a brain, and we’re all on the mental health continuum. And stress is what tips us over the edge and causes us to experience periods of mental ill health – one in four of us will have a spell of mild/moderate mental ill health in any given year. If we can avoid stress, we can prevent mental ill health.
