Suffolk Mind trustee and supporter complete 100 mile bike ride for charity
Two people, a trustee and a Suffolk Mind supporter have cycled 100 miles to raise money for the mental health charity.
Dr Nicky Ridgeway and Julian Tyndale-Biscoe took part in Prudential RideLondon, the greatest festival of cycling in the world, over the weekend (28th/29th July) to raise money for Suffolk Mind.
Nicky said: “100 miles in torrential rain and high winds on the back of a drought makes for tough conditions and slippery going on the roads, especially if cycling!
“I’m very happy though, to be able to say that I completed the Prudential RideLondon at the weekend! I was proudly wearing the shirt of and supporting Suffolk Mind – an amazing arm of the National Mind charity, forever championing and raising awareness about Mental Health.”
Julian said: “After a very tough seven-and-a half-hour ride, the finish line on the Mall lined with cheering spectators brought a tear to my eye. I would like to thank everyone who supported me along the way and all those who donated to my fundraising effort”.
