Event Details

The World Health Organisation estimates that over 800,000 people take their own life each year – that’s one person every 40 seconds. Up to 25 times as many again make a suicide attempt. This means that there are many more people who have been bereaved by suicide or have been close to someone who has tried to take his or her own life.

This free event is open to everyone to drop in with the primary aim of raising awareness of the services, support and organisations in and around Suffolk who can help in a time of crisis or following a bereavement.

Suffolk Mind staff will be running workshops providing more information on topics such as the language of suicide and informal CPD to build confidence and knowledge around suicide.

We will also be running talks and presentations at times throughout the day.
