Help us to be there to support mental wellbeing
Each month, at Quay Place & Suffolk Mind, we focus on an emotional or physical need which supports emotional wellbeing. This month it’s the need for emotional connection.
The need for emotional connection means having a relationship where we feel accepted by another person, in a way which lets us be ourselves without fear of being judged. We might describe this as being accepted ‘warts and all’ for who we are.

Our topic this time is Addiction. Addiction is not limited to biochemical substances such as cocaine, alcohol, inhalants, or nicotine. It is increasingly possible for people to experience behavioural addictions in activities such as gambling, eating, pornography viewing, and playing video games.
As a parent or carer for a child, you will go to great lengths to protect that young person from illness and injury. Having a child succumb to addiction can come as a shock and leaves families unprepared for the consequences.

Join our community to make 2018 poppies to commemorate Armistice Day 11th November 2018. An opportunity to participate in a wonderful exhibition honouring and acknowledging the sacrifice made by the community. Drop in and knit, sew, crochet, the poppies, all materials provided.

Sporting Memories brings together anyone over the age of 50 to talk about sport and their recollections of great sporting occasions.

Our adult colouring group is the ideal place to indulge your creative side. Learn about the heritage of the building too by colouring in images all linked to Quay Place.
Wednesdays, 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Make or do something new working alongside others in an informal, friendly setting.
