Get Ready, Step Forward

I knew I wanted to change and move forward with my life but I felt desperate and stuck. This course helped me think about moving forward and what I had to do. Since attending the course I have started applying for jobs and am in such a better place. (Feedback from a previous participant)

This course open to anyone whose mental or emotional health is preventing them from engaging with opportunities that would support them to live a fuller life, from seeking to gain or maintain employment, volunteer or pursue further education. This course is also for those who are already in employment but are finding it difficult to cope with working pressures.

The course will look at identifying personal barriers, stress management, building emotional resilience, confidence building and understanding assertiveness.

  • Recognise, understand and appreciate your personal qualities, skills, attributes and achievements
  • Understand different types of behaviours, learn about being assertive, rights and responsibilities and identify transferable skills.
