Help us to be there to support mental wellbeing
These groups are organised and facilitated by service users and participants benefit from the exchange of mutual support. The groups enable service users to build the skills and confidence needed to take control of their own recovery.
These groups have been initiated by people using mental health services in Suffolk who take responsibility for the groups themselves. Some Peer Support Groups take place at Community Wellbeing venues whilst others take place in community venues such as libraries, community centres and church halls.

Eating Disorder Group - Ipswich - The group support people of any age, those wishing to recover and their family and friends. Facilitated by specialists, the group welcomes people whose lives are affected by difficulties around food. This is an open group and we uphold rules of confidentiality. No referrals are necessary. Held at Suffolk Mind, Quay Place, Key Street, Ipswich, IP4 1BZ - every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 7.30pm to 9.00pm.
Enigma - Stowmarket - Peer Support Group, aimed at people over age 18, who endure long term mental health problems, emotional distress and anxiety which impacts on their day to day living. The aim of the group is to support people by working through a Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills Workbook learning mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotional regulation and distress intolerance skills. They are not a group that advises people that they should do during their recovery journey, they offer support and encourage coping strategies and help to achieve a better understanding of positive mental health and wellbeing. Ipswich Anxiety Support Group - Ipswich -For adults with anxiety, depression. Every 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at the Quaker Meeting Hosue, Fonnereau Road, Ipswich, IP1 3JH from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. There are no meetings on bank holidays. Like Minds - Bury St Edmunds - Peer group meetings for people in second tier mental health support or for those who have or are struggling with mental health. Make It Art Group - Bury St Edmunds- Thursday afternoons from 2.00pm - 4.00pm. Held at Suffolk Mind, Oriental House, St Andrews Street North, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 1TZ. Make It is an open ended art group for people with a severe mental health diagnosis. It provides a supportive, relaxed, friendly, accepting place for people to enjoy time doing arts and crafts either using the materials supplied or working on their own projects. PSN Network - Saxmundham - The PSN Network Meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month at The Willows in Saxmundham, starting 6.30pm for 6.45pm through until 9pm (For people who have completed the full PSN training course)
