The Anxiety Management course was a real eye opener for me. It helped me to understand myself and to put many of my inner thoughts into perspective. Helping me to feel calmer and make my work and daily life all make more sense.
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a feeling of unease, such as worry or fear. Everyone has feelings of anxiety at some point in their life. It's normal to feel anxious about something like a medical test or job interview. A little bit of anxiety can be helpful; for example, feeling anxious before an exam might make you more alert and improve your performance. But too much anxiety could make you tired and unable to concentrate.
Anxiety can affect how we feel, behave, think and can become a hindrance on our everyday life.
This 8 hour course (delivered over 2 sessions) will help you:
1. recognise the behaviours of anxiety
2. become aware and begin to understand anxiety
3. learn new practical coping strategies and skills
4. learn relaxation exercises and techniques
This course is the first step to you learning to control your anxiety.
