Suffolk Mind
Suffolk Mind is affiliated to Mind National and is committed to improving the lives of people with mental health issues.
Suffolk Mind has the following strategic aims:
- To provide a range of high quality services that support the improvement and maintenance of people's mental wellbeing and which have a demonstrably positive impact on individuals, their carers and the communities in which they live.
- To innovate and pioneer new services and models of delivery in response to identified need.
- To build and maintain a robust organisation through effective financial and business planning and review processes.
To achieve these aims, the organisation will:
- Identify and actively pursue opportunities to deliver services, including training, that support people experiencing mental distress and that promote wellbeing.
- Provide services in any areas where we have the expertise and resources.
- Promote public awareness of mental health issues and campaign for the de-stigmatisation of mental ill health.
- Actively engage service users at all levels of the organisation and support service users to be heard and heeded, both internally and externally.
- Ensure that staff are appropriately equipped to deliver effective services through the provision of appropriate support, supervision, training and development.
- Work in partnership with other organisations and individuals to address gaps and ensure service users are provided with the broadest range of quality services wherever they are.
- Pursue a broad range of funding and income generation models to enhance the viability of the organisation by limiting dependence on specific funding streams.
- Have a representative Board with a wide range of knowledge and skills to ensure good governance.
